Get out your journal and brain dump EVERYTHING, every “stupid” or “little” thought and feeling goes on that paper, it could even be multiple papers just get everything down 📝
Read yourself PREWRITTEN affirmations, if you don’t have any yet don’t worry you could use these (refer back to these phrases as many times as you need to) I’m allowed to be overwhelmed, I have overcome difficult moments before I can get through this too, this feeling won’t last forever, I am doing the best I can,, emotions are only temporary, It’s okay to not have all the answers right now, everything will be okay and is 100% meant to be 💖
Take a good shower; use it to think or cry than feel the water on your body as if it is rinsing off all the negativity of that day, put on your favorite pajamas/hoodie 🚿
Do something that will comfort you; watch your favorite show or movie, cook a warm comforting meal, bake your favorite dessert, listen to your favorite music, go to sleep, read a good book, make a warm drink, light a candle (safely), cuddle with a pet, listen to a podcast/audiobook,/nature sounds, guided meditation, scroll on a calming pinterest board, color/draw, play a chill game on your phone, play a board game either solitary or with a friend/family, drink water slowly, open a window for fresh air, go on a walk/run 😌
